Why the Nahj al Balaghah is Essential Reading for Muslims

The Nahj al Balaghah, often translated as The Peak of Eloquence or The Highest Level of Eloquence, is an important book that’s rich in Islamic knowledge and history. The book contains the sermons, narrations, and letters of Ali ibn Abi Talib(A.S). Sharif Razi compiled this book in the 10th century CE.

What Is In The Nahj al-Balaghah?

Alhamdulillah, I know that this may be a bit of a controversial topic but I just wanted to share my thoughts and ask those who read it to be mindful when it comes to answering the question. In Islam there are two types of knowledge: Knowledge which has come from Allah (The Creator) and knowledge which has been given by people (knowledge acquired through studying, conversations etc). The Quran can’t be studied in order to gain worldly wisdom and one’s own individual understanding as opposed to Islamic teachings. That being said, as far as how long it would take someone to learn the Quran, if someone is trying their best then they should read at least 15 pages each day.
