So, what are the differences between structured color powder and traditional laser powder, andgold onion powder?
The traditional laser powder and gold onion powder, which started earlier in China, are usedinmany crafts, such as Christmas crafts, ceramic crafts, ironwork crafts, etc. Traditional laser powder, gold onion powder, is commonly known as sequins, gold flakes, silver flakes, gold dots, silver dots, glitter powder, glitter flakes, and gold and silver powder, which is generally manufactured by processing PET aluminized film.
Structured color powder and traditional laser powder mainly have the following differences.
1) Thickness and size of the product.
The thickness of traditional laser powder is generally greater than 12 microns, depending on thethickness of PET base film, because traditional laser powder is with PET base film, while thethickness of structural color powder is 2~3 microns without PET base film, and the applicationis different.
In terms of particle size, the size of traditional laser powder monomer particle is generally 200~3000 microns (diagonal), while the size of the structural color powder is much smaller; currently, Suzhou Impression has developed different specifications, 20~75 microns (diagonal)
2) Production process.
As mentioned above, the structural color powder is without base film, so the production process is more complicated and requires a higher production process.
3）Powdering and powder cutting.
Traditional laser powder and gold onion powder are mechanically cut powders with goodconsistency in shape and specification, usually square and hexagonal. Structured color powder, on the other hand, is graded by way of beating powder, sieve, or specific gravity extractionmethod, and the shape of particles is more random and irregular.
4) Production cost.
Structural color powder and laser powder are both priced by weight, but traditional laser powder is with PET base film, structural color powder without base film, the process is more, the sameraw material input finished output is much less, low capacity, so the price cost of structural color
